how it started…
Hi, I’m Michelle! Cookie artist, designer, decorator....being creative is a dominant force in my life. Interior design was my career for 17 years before MBO was formed and what started as a random weekend of cookie decorating in 2019, turned into a full-blown, non-stop obsession. Being self-taught, and through tons of trial and error, I have learned a lot along the way. My love of learning and my competitive nature motivate me to continually challenge my skills and creative nature. My ultimate goal is to provide you with decorated sugar cookies that not only taste great but exceed your artistic expectations, for all of life's special occasions.
When I am not decorating cookies, you can find me attempting to get back into running to lose the lbs I put on from these damn cookies. Oh the struggle...
How it’s going
Michelle's Baking Obsession, llc is located in Durham NC.
All of my baked goods are crafted in my inspected commercial kitchen. My business began in a kitchen in my backyard, but has since moved to my current location in Downtown Durham, off of 9th Street. My aesthetically pleasing and functioning space gives me unimagined creative energy and has helped me to grow leaps and bounds over the past few years. As I continue to scale my business more this year, my excitement grows to see where this all leads. Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey with me!
